Mike is a writer and producer based in New York City, where he writes an animated series for Bleacher Report. He met RJ while working as a staff writer for Katie Nolan's TV show, Always Late, at ESPN. He met Michael on Zoom and that seems to be going well so far. In addition to ESPN and Bleacher Report, Mike has contributed to Saturday Night Live's 'Weekend Update' and got his start writing jokes for Joan Rivers.

But before all that glamorous freelance work, his first job out of college was as a sports reporter and weekend anchor on the local news in Iowa. At the time, he lived alone in a repurposed macaroni factory that overlooked the Mississippi River on literally Iowa Street. During those two years, he learned what it was like to be an adult, and occasionally what it was like to be a journalist. Davenport is inspired by his experiences on, but mostly off camera in the Quad Cities.
